Never leave out details (English)

We ask our clients to complete Questionnaires when they start with Down Under Visa to get their Australian visas. This is where we get the information that we put in your visa applications, and it must be completely correct. This is really important.

Just yesterday we have clients in our office. They already complete the visa questionnaire, and then they ask “Were we supposed to list all the children?”

They had only wrote one child in the questionnaire, but she has three children. Continue reading

The advice forums (Tagalog)

Ang daming mga forum sa internet na kung saan sila ay nagbibigay ng payo tungkol sa Australian visa applications. Kahit sino duon sa forum ay pinag uusapan nila ang kanilang naging experiences at magbibigay na sila ng payo kung paano makakuha ng visa. Yung mga taong nagbibigay ng payo ang iba sa kanila ay isang Australians o Filipinos na kung saan sila ay nag apply ng kanilang sariling visa, or baka sila ay naghihintay ng kanilang visa. Wala silang qualifications pero sila ay nagpapayo at nagsasabi sa iba kung ano ang dapat gawin.

Sa Down Under Visa lagi naming naririnig sa aming mga kleyente na lagi nilang tinatanong ang aming mga payo sa kanila dahil sa nababasa nila sa forum na iba ang payo namin kisa sa forum. Ang ibang payo duon ay medyo mali at ang iba duon ay napakadelikado at baka yun pa ang dahilan na ma refused ang visa ninyo. Continue reading

There are a lot of forums on the internet where people talk about Australian visa applications. Anyone on the forum is able to discuss experiences and give advice about getting visas. The people who give the advice are usually some Australians or Filipinos who applied for their own visa, or maybe they are waiting on their own visa. They have no qualifications but they tell others what they should do.

At Down Under Visa we are all the time hearing our clients questioning what we tell them because they read on a forum something different. Some of this advice is a little bit wrong, but some of it is dangerous and could get your visa refused. Continue reading

Not all bargains are good bargains! (Tagalog)

Naala-ala ko pa nuong una kaming magkakilala ng asawa ko maraming taon na ang nakaraan.  Ang Nanay ko ang siyang isang magandang halimbawa ko sa pagiging “kuripot”. Kahit nuon pa ang laging nasa isip ko ay ang makapag ipon ng pera sa lahat ng paraan, kahit ngayon lagi parin akong tumitingin sa mga bargains. Nuong una kaming magkita ng asawa ko ako ang pumili ng hotel kasi gusto kung makamura, pati narin ang lugar kung saan mura ang pagkain, lahat ito ginawa ko para kami ay maka ipon ng pera. Not all bargains are good bargains! (English)

I remember when I first met my husband in Manila many years ago. I had the good example of my mother in being “kuripot”. I always wanted to save money where I could, and even today I always look for bargains. When we were first together, I wanted to find cheap hotels and cheap places to eat, and I did this to save his money. All good Filipinas want to do this.  Continue reading
